# What does this implement/fix? Some AirPlay speakers never answer our clock and stay silent while everything else says they are playing. We handle that in two different ways on purpose: a speaker joining a group that is already playing is left out, but a speaker on the Sendspin bridge is started anyway. That is deliberate — a joiner can be left out because the group plays on without it, while on the bridge the same move would stop the speaker, and a stalled clock is not solid enough evidence for that. The AirPlay binary treats a stall as a diagnosis a speaker can still recover from, and it starts that diagnosis over on every track, so what we read on a track change can be a track old. None of this was written down, so the difference read like an oversight.
